At Commonshall Spaniels we breed, train, and successfully compete in field trials with dogs that are carefully selected for their natural working ability and temperament.
Commonshall Spaniels is run by Ronan Gorman who has been a consistently successful field trial competitor and has made up multiple Field Trial Champion English Springer Spaniels and Cocker Spaniels.
The 2023/24 season was particularly successful for Commonshall Spaniels with our dogs involved in run-offs for 1st place at both the Irish Kennel Club Spaniel Championships and the Kennel Club’s (British) Spaniel Championships. Open FTW Bishwell Barrett of Commonshall also finished top dog at the 2023 Irish Kennel Club Spaniel Championships.
Ronan Gorman is a respected ‘A’ panel judge for spaniels under both Kennel Club and Irish Kennel Club rules and has judged the Irish Kennel Club AV Spaniel Championships. He has also represented Ireland in international gundog tests and has substantial practical experience in training and shooting over spaniels.
